Founded by Thomas Luckey in 1985, Luckey LLC is a bespoke design-build firm specializing in creating unique and imaginative climbing structures for children-oriented institutional and commercial clients.

Positioned in the greater New York City area, we collaborate with clients across the country and around the globe to create signature sculptural works that define public spaces and draw in crowds of visitors to experience whimsical and exciting, but always safe, climbing structures.

We build on over three decades of experience to provide the most comprehensively engineered and developed Climbers with an impeccable safety record and distinctive aesthetics that stand out in the market.

Our goal is to brush off one's notions of the ordinary and to be a source of wonder and delight for people of all ages. The foundational principle being that the Climbers afford appreciation as a child-centric/scaled universe and as a beautiful piece of sculpture, like a fountain of kids, where the kids are the water.

We maintain a 29,000 square-foot design and fabrication facility in New Haven, CT which houses both our digital design suite and complementary steel fabrication studio. We also have a 5-axis CNC mill, which cuts complex curves into wood panels with a high-level of precision. These tools allow us to custom-build each component of every Climber.
